AMOLED Always On Display is a complete Android app (Kotlin + Jetpack Compose) that draws a clock over the lock screen while the display is "off". On an OLED panel the black pixels are physically off, so only the digits use power. Tap, and you're back at the lock screen.
It is a full, working app you can rebrand and publish on Google Play: 10 clock faces, 9 fonts, 12 colours, notifications, now-playing controls, four display modes and a fingerprint hand-off to the system unlock.
